ICSI EU meeting in Bruges
After the kick-off in Vienna, the next interregional partner meeting brought ICSI EU to Bruges (Belgium). For 2 days, nearly 30 partners and their stakeholders gathered in the medieval town to discover how the Province of West Flanders connects knowledge institutions, high-tech innovation and policy. Everything summarized in 1 minute? Watch the aftermovie!

3 inspiring visits
Site visits are a valuable aspect of the interregional visits. In West Flanders, our partners visited 3 local examples of cross-sectoral innovation. Drone Dock provides a space for students to experiment with drone technology. Howest University of applied sciences started a new study trajectory focussed on cyber security. And House of AI introduces artificial intelligence to diverse audiences in a fun and interactive way.

Meet TUA West, our advisory partner
As experts on our strategic foresight methodology, TUA West is our advisory partner. They are represented by Charlotte and Lisa, who are passionate about bridging the gap between organizations and knowledge institutions. They explain why TUA West was created, why joining ICSI EU was a no-brainer and why they believe strategic foresight is the right methodology.

Coming up: meeting in Olsztyn (Poland)
The third interregional meeting will be hosted by our Polish partners of the WMRDA. On 21 and 22 April, they will host us in Olsztyn. An important part of their local economy is based on nature- and health tourism. One of the site visits will therefore lead us to a newly established health resort. The programme also includes a visit to the local university, the next workshop on strategic foresight and a new understanding of Warmia-Mazury as a region.

Results of first stakeholder meetings
During semester 1, all our regions invited local stakeholders to participate in a first workshop. The goal of this workshop was to explore external trends and drivers of change, as part of our strategic foresight methodology. After analysing the results 5 main signals emerged across the regions: security, climate & environment, economy & work, technology and societal change.
