Ideen Expo 2026: Experience Maritime Careers

The maritime industry invites visitors to explore at the IdeenExpo in Hanover: At 13 stations, young people, families, and educators can experience the diversity of maritime careers—from ship design and navigation to port logistics, and out onto the open sea to offshore wind farms.

Maritime careers up close: Over 38 apprenticeship programs and numerous degree programs await. Hands-on exhibits, experiments, and the interactive onboard challenge demonstrate that the maritime sector encompasses technology, innovation, climate protection, logistics, and international cooperation. From internships and apprenticeships to leadership roles—with friendships that last a lifetime.

IdeenExpo is Europe’s largest innovation and technology festival for young people. The event is suitable for students in grades 5 and up, with a focus on grades 7 through 13. Admission is free throughout the entire event.
