National Maritime Conference 2026

The National Maritime Conference (NMK) is the German government’s central event for supporting the maritime industry. It is also the largest gathering of the maritime sector, with around 800 participants. The conference is held under the patronage of the German Chancellor and has taken place every two years since 2000. During this time, the series of events has established itself as an important source of inspiration in Germany and as a platform for constructive dialogue between business, science, associations, trade unions, and politics on the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

The two-day conference is held in cooperation with a federal state at different locations. In 2026, it will take place in Emden.
